thinkpad t60 qeustions

hi guys im new here and im really considering buying a thinkpad t60 it has exatcly what i want and is the perfect size. But i wanted to know if there was a way i could get some type of student price im 13 and im middle school i still have the money to pay for it but is there a way to get it for cheaper becuse i still got some other stuff i gotta buy for one of my destops. i also wanted to know how it runs linux i really dont wanna have to run windows on a nice laptop like that i usaly run either Gentoo or Slackware.

Well, Linux is known to work really well with Thinkpads. A couple models are actually linux certified, and there is really good support for Linux on Thinkpads. There is a ThinkWiki.

Im so happy i just orderd my new thinkpad T60 with a advaced mini docking station :D :D i cant wait tell it gets here. What is about the average time for it to ship from china to WA
