I try to creat a set of recovery CD/DVD from my brand new T60. I did a
"start -- all program -- ThinkVantage -- creat recovery meidia" , it creat a first CD, and ask me label it as "Rescue and Recovery Startup Disc", then it just stop, I suppose it should creat another DVD (or 6 CDs). I run the program again, it creat another startup disc for me. What I should do?

I dont know, mine does the exact same thing. I suspect it is because my T60 is custom imaged, and so the recovery partition isnt the same as on a normal T60.

Normally, with the ThinkVantage software, you have (2) options on one page. Create Rescue Media, which is (1) CD, and create Product Recovery Discs which are several. You can create the Rescue Media CD as many times as you like. You can only create the Product Recovery Disc set once (until you perform a restore to original Factory State).
I believe I read a post sometime back where the user could not find how to make the Product Recovery Discs from the ThinkVantage Program, but the Product Recovery Disc creation program was still on the hard drive. He was able to launch the program directly. One just needs to know the filename. The file is located in the folder: C:\IBMTOOLS\utils\spi . The filename is reccd.exe.

I think you should do it this way:
Start - Programs - ThinkVantage - Create Recovery Media *select option 2* en hit *ok*.
It will unpack some files and then asks for some DVD's. At the end you will get 2 DVD's. It works fine, i already needed to test it, after something went wrong..

My problem is that they do not offer the option to create the recovery media, just the option to create the rescue disc.

Makes you wonder if there is anything else wrong with the system. Bad image? Will it fix itself if I reinstall the OS?
