hi, this might be a dumb question, but can anyone tell me what this symbol is for? it's a half circle, with what look to be rays coming down.

Hi laundromatt,

this symbol indicates where your 'ThinkLight' (keyboard light) is located. You can switch it on with a FN-Key combination.
