Hello everyone.

Few days ago I was in the process of deciding which laptop to get.
T60's main rival has been HP NW8440 which is cheaper by 600$ but I'm unsure if it's best choice (almost the same components) as I'll be keeping my notebook for 3-4 years, and durability is the main concern.
Also, I don't wish to get that feeling "Uh, I could've payed "bit" more and get a thinkpad  "
I've seen HP's and they're very solid laptops, but people say Thinkpads are something special - do you agree?

Things I'll do with it: Autocad, C++, Visual Studio, MySQL (for college), Photoshop, video editing, web design, game or two (for fun).

I made quite a bit of research, and finally came to the conclusion that 15" T60p (UT0FBCD) - and it's the only one I'm able to get here in Croatia should be the right choice.
This one comes with 6 cell battery which is really neat as it doesn't protrude on the back and saves some weight, and I doubt I'll be using it more than 2-3 hours "on the road".

If I get the T60p with 1 module installed (1GB) wouldn't upgrading it with second 1GB module make it's memory related operations faster, as it uses dual channel access then?
Do I need some special brand-type of memory, or will standard SO-DIMM DDR667 CL5 do the trick?

Does this model have EV-DO antenna, as I really don't need it?

The price of the unit is really high here (in comparison to US), but I hope I'll be able to get some discount and I'll buy it on a company, so I'll get tax refund and it will cost me cca. 2400-2500$ (after tax refund and discount).
Is that price ok?

I hope to get it next week.

P.S. Have I made a right choice?
Thanks.
