T60p WWAN chip worldwide

I was considering buying a highend T60p like 2007-9EU for instance. I am working mostly in Europe and plan to buy it in the US as it seems not to be available in the former.
I would have 2 questions to the t60p owners:
- with the t60p, IBM/lenovo offer now a WWAN chip that allows EDGE/GPRS/UMTS communication to the computer. I saw in the TABOOK that there are 2 versions for Verizon and Cingular customers. But i wonder if all models have that chip and if yes, is it open to all cellphone operators?
- i am having some difficulties choosing the 15''-model-with-Flexview in UXGA (1600*1200) or SXGA+ (1400*1050) version. What is your totally subjective answer
?
thanks
