The plastic is not sold separately. Please read the PM (Private Message) that I sent you.

One of you guys might know.
I am currently buying a 2623DDU but i want to have a palm rest without the Touchpad/trackpad (i have one for my T42).
I have been looking for the actual part # without any success.

Anyone would be able to help me?

The T4x Series offered that option. The T6x Series does not.

hmmm. annoying.

May be the T43 15'' palm rest would do the trick?

I wouldn't know, but I doubt it.

You can disable the Touchpad in the BIOS or via the ThinkPad Configuration program. You can also disable the TouchPad with the UltraNav Wizard program. The UltraNav Wizard program has the advantage in that it does not require a reboot to disable/enable the Touchpad.

Thanks but i want to physically get rid of it. It is unaesthetic and of no use to me. Thus my request ;)

You might be able to find a fabricator to make a thin metal or plastic plate that can be glued onto the palmrest to cover it. It could be feathered to avoid an annoying ridge, and match the color of the rest of the palmrest.
There is a whole subculture of people who repair and trick out musical instruments. One of them might be able to help you.

Very good idea. Unfortunately in Spain i do not think such subculture exist.

I would try calling IBM and see what they say. Tell them that your touchpad stopped working or something ;)

And nothing was done to your system :)
