ATI Catalyst Control Center

#1 Post by ennma » Thu Sep 14, 2006 7:24 pm

Hello All:
Due to my desire to underclock the GPU to lower values than that of the PowerPlay option, I installed atitools, this however introduced an error, when I open Catalyst Control Center, which

summerize to :

1.Catalyst is not supported in this driver version,

2.all the advanced options are no longer available for me to
configure

so this message causes some concern for me.

I went to ATI Driver downloads, and downloaded the latest driver
for v5200, the visualization series, and got the messege that, no
v5200 hardware is installed.

This causes further confusion for me, as to how is it that the driver setup from ATI did not recognize the video card.

My wish is to find out how
I can revert back to previous settings, ie catalyst recognizes the video card.

Thank you all for your help

Oh and now I cannot initialize the Catalyst center at all, and
cli.exe is not running.

Thanks

Problem solved, I just:

Rolled back to previous driver.
start up TP Installer and let it updated to the latest
Driver Version.

my question is , why cant we manually update the driver ourselves?
manually

another point, I noticed , if you were to turned of the "Hardware Acceleration" , DisplaySettings => Advanced => Troubleshoot, off
the Catalyst Control Center goes away aswell. funny huh

thanks
