Ultrabay HDD adaptor faster than external HD?

#1 Post by jagged » Mon Sep 18, 2006 6:11 am

Just curious, is the transfer speed of the Ultrabay HDD adaptor for the T60 faster than say, a regular USB HD external case?

Thanks!!

My ultrabad drive is quite a lot faster than the drive that I've got in an external USB HD case.

Along those lines: Would an HD in the Ultrabay HDD adapter be the same or slower than the main HD in a T60?

In theory slower, PATA (100MB/s) vs SATA (150MB/s I think), ive not really done much testing though but I cant really notice the difference.
