T60 and X60 and standby

#1 Post by slipknotjhs » Wed Sep 20, 2006 8:38 am

Hi,

I am having issues getting my T and X60 systems to recover from standby with an image i have created. I have all of the latest updates from Lenovo and Windows installed, as well as some hot fixes i got from Microsoft which sound like they should resolve the issue but do not. Basically the system goes into standby and will not come out, without a full power down and restart. I am using the same image accross 6 other thinkpads and have no issue with them, only with the dual core "Lenovo" machines

I have a similar problem on my T60p where if I let powerplay clock down the GPU, then when I try to go into standby then I get some screen corruption during the windows standby screen and then the laptop won't come back from standby.

Everything works when powerplay is disabled, but since I infrequently run off battery I basically can't use standby. I use hibernate instead and its a decent, albeit 20-second-slower alternative.
