my battery is going to explode!

After not using Message Center for months, I started it up and got these messages:
4/17/2007 - Battery error is detected.
The battery is too hot. Remove it from the computer and cool it to room temperature.
4/17/2007 - Battery error is detected.
Irreparable damage to the battery has been detected. Replace the battery with a new one.
4/17/2007 - Battery error is detected.

I imagine these are bogus messages, since the Power Manager shows the battery as "good."

I started getting these messages a couple days before the recall came out. Wonder if Lenovo was giving us a pre-warning of the recall.
