Scheduled backups not working

Subject says it all. I have weekly backups scheduled at 12:00 AM Saturday and they aren't happening. Computer is definitely on. Might be on standby at that time, though. Should the computer wake up? Should the backup start when it comes out of standby?
Thanks -- Barbara

there should be an option, where you can select 'backup is allowed to take computer out of standby.'

Since I don't use Rescue and Recovery backup, I am not positive about this, but check the following. Go to Start > Control Panel > Scheduled Tasks. Look for a scheduled task that could be a Rescue and Recovery backup. Right-click on the task and choose Properties, then choose the Settings tab. Look at the settings under Power Management.

Go into the Scheduler (in System Tools in Accessories). Right click on the task you have scheduled and select Run. See if it runs. If not, there is an authentication (or like) issue. If it runs, then it is probably the Standby issue. ... JD Hurst

Hmmm... There is no "bring out of standby" option in R&R, and the task doesn't even show up in the Scheduled Tasks list! What now?

If the task doesn't show up, then the task may have been set up in a different userid. For example, for a client, I set the anti-virus to update itself to a schedule. The scheduler requires my admin ID and password to run. Run it does. But the user can't see the task.

Nope - I'm the only user on this machine. Thanks, though...

I also just realized that my scheduled maintenance tasks aren't happening either! I have defrag scheduled, but when i go back in the next day or whatever, the "schedule tasks" checkbox is no longer enabled! Weird....
