T60p unable to display 16/9

Hi, I have a T60p with an ATI FireGL V5200 256Mb video card. I just purchased a 21" Samsung 215TW LCD monitor and am unable to have a 1600x1050 resolution that will give me the 'wide' format image. There is a software called MagicTune supplied with the Samsung monitor but when I install it on the T60p I get an error message saying my hardware (I guess video card) is not compatible with it. As far as I know MagicTune is the software that allows me to change resolution to 1600x1050. MagicTune made the trick on my desktop computer with a GeForce4 video card and image is extra-sharp. I cannot find any info at all on any site. Please help ! Thank you.
