Just curious if anyone has used this notebook soundcard with their T60. How were the results? What kind of speakers do you use?

Thanks,

Sean

Tip: Try doing a search using the Search button at the top of the page. Enter Audigy as the search term. You'll probably get more information that way.

I'm using the Audigy 2 ZS with my T60p, currently for headphone listening. The sound quality is excellent, though the onboard soundcard is also quite good.

I had a major problem that I could not remove the Audigy from my notebook with Safely Remove Hardware. I always got a message that the device cannot be removed at this time. Forced removal crashed the notebook, so I had to power off to remove it. After several emails to Creative support, they suggested that I should disable the onboard soundcard when using the Audigy. That worked.

I don't use my Audigy ZS 2 with my ThinkPad; however, I do use it on one of my laptops at the house.

I must say that I was quite suprised with the quality of the sound--it was even better than the sound card in my desktop.

I don't remember exactly which speakers I have but they are Creative 5.1 surround sound (sub, center, left-front, right-front, back-left, back-right).
