Preserve Window Locations After Dock/UnDock

Hey Guys,
I have this project that i'm sure all you guys are experiencing. After I undock and use the laptop screen all my windows screens (programs, icons, message boxes) readjusts to fit the 15" screen. So when I dock it and use my monitors they're not all over the pace. Is there a program out there that allows you to create profiles? So that I can preserve icon locations, where my windows pops up, etc.? Thanks guys.
