T60 Speaker Noise
Hi All,
i have a problem with my new T60 laptop (2623-D6U) . When i increase the sound, speaker is creating a loud noise .. its like the noise which occurs in some meeting when sound is increased for the speaker. Any advice would be of great help .. Should i have lenovo to fix it ?

how can we check whether its muted ? coz ...when i insert handheld headset microphone to system..that sound disappears.. so i think ..the problem is , something related to what you said.
In the volume tab..if i mute the microphone ..then that sound doesn't appear... so..how can we correct this ..if i want the microphone to be un-muted and still don't want to hear that noise?

The way I see it, you have the following options.
1. Mute or lower the volume setting on the microphone.
2. Mute or lower the volume setting on the speakers.
3. Plug a dummy plug into the microphone jack.
4. Block the holes of the built-in microphone with some tape or something.
5. Plug in an external mike with an on/off switch, and turn the switch off.
6. Plug in an external mike and move it some distance from the speakers.
