I have a 3-year-old T41 and want to buy a new Thinkpad. Will the T-series see a new tablet flavor (like the X-series did) any time soon? Tablet as in a montior that swivels and is writable with a pen?

Sorry if this is a faq. The forums search did not make "table" a narrow search result in the T-series forums.

I would like to see that too; such as a 14.1" tablet convertible T Series. Even so, there has been no news from them in that direction. I guess what I can say is that it is going to take awhile given that they already have the Widscreen T Series slated to come out; it may be a little too early for them to start modifying the screen frame and hinges right after that. It would be a great idea though.

Compared to the T Series, the X Series is much more amenable into being made into a tablet given its form factor and the hinge can be smaller since it isn't supporting a screen larger than 12".

Thanks for the update. I'll await news about a T-series tablet.
