Is there a way for my T60P's BT find my wireless mouse?

Hi all,
Well I have been slowly getting used to my new T60P, its been a strange experience so far, but its coming along nicely. So here is my main question.
I just purchased a (MS Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 4000). This unit comes with a BT USB stick, but its pretty bulky and I assumed that since the T60P has BT built into its wireless capabilites I would be able to just let the PC find the mouse and be able to have this nice wireless mouse linked up to the system.
Unfortunately, I cant seem to get this thing to see the mouse at all, I have turned on the BT using the Fn+F5 from the ThinkVantage tool, and then searched multiple ways to find any local devices, I have even tried it clicking the connect button on the bottom of the mouse and I have been unable to get this thing running or even see it in the BT profiles.
When I connect the USB BT stick that came with the mouse, it links up perfectly and very fast.
So... With that being said, is there a way to actually use the mouse with out the need for the USB BT stick. Can the ThinkPad use its own BT capabilities to see and connect the mouse?
I also tried to update everything within ThinkVantage just incase there is a BT update, but it didnt update anything aside from the ThinkVantage update window.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!
