S-Video

#1 Post by 87325is » Fri Oct 13, 2006 10:43 am

Some of you have had bad experences with lenovo, but i think they owned up and handeled everything very well.

I wish like eveyone else they did not remove svideo. when i called them i went back and forth from sales to tech support twice. then they started a complaint ticket.

they asked what it would take and would i want to swap computer. The t60 is what i wanted so i told them a vga adapter would work. They dont sell it so they would not supply it. Also the quality range with these products are very large.

Make a long story short..... Extended battery and some money back. Happy customer i am. Just hope they continue to make nice laptops in the future.

Am I to understand that you got money back and a better battery because the T60 doesn't come with S-Video as they advertised? If so, I'm calling them immediately.

yep...I printed it out the online order info where is was listed to have proof. then called them and walk tech and sales through the online sales where it is listed. It was then transferred to customer complaint.

I was not out to screw them i like the computer. They said 11% back to cover the VGA converter and i said OK and an extended battery because the converter will take up power. They agreed.

So for me they stood behind their error. I just hope they dont go to all wide screens, and get the svideo back, so i can buy a future version of the t series.

Woa that's pretty sweet, altough I dont understand what went wrong. Cuz I thought the T60(p) didnt have a S-video out, period. So how could they have advertized with it?

Wow, that was *very* nice of them to do that.

I really need to find some more reps like that at IBM/Lenovo. :D

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.
