This is strange - sometimes after releasing my trackpoint, the cursor starts moving slowly back up towards the top of the screen. Sometimes it just moves up a few pixels and sometimes moves over an inch. This also happens on my Z60 and X60s.
Anyone else experiencing the same issue with resolution?
Thanks in advance

Yeah, that is just the TrackPoint recalibrating, it is normal to an extent. To help make it do it less often, don't rest your finger heavily on the TrackPoint or apply pressure with a large downward component on the very edge of the TrackPoint cap.

Welcome to the joys of IBM trackpoint
Every IBM laptop I've worked on with a trackpoint does this....

I actually posted the whitesheets and abstracts for the negative inertia and control cicruits they use in the latest TrackPoint IVs somewhere around here in a thread about this exact topic. They give painstakingly detailed information about it and how it is implmented in the control loop that includes the user.
Even my Decade+ old 701c, which still runs beautifully, does that.

It's really easy to stop t. Just put your finger on the black pad part (sorry can't think of what that's called at the moment)

I don't have a touchpad - it's an X60S.....
It's most annoying when I'm scrolling through a web page....
glad to know I'm not alone.
