No - and the suppliers I have asked doesnt know either. I am so tired of waiting just because I live in Europe. Not only do we often have to pay more for the same hardware, we also have to wait - often a month or two extra.

And it isnt just Lenovo..

We could order them from Euclid computers but they´d had to be with global warranty. In the tabook I see no models with warranty specified. I wonder why?

...Also I spoke to the guy responsible for the Lenovo Thinkpad product line in Sweden.

He said (if I understood him correctly) they have been available for suppliers to order since 17th october. He said if I order one now I´ll probably get it in three weeks.

So then I called an internet store here in Sweden (misco.se) and asked if they could order one for me. The guy on the phone of course had no idea. He would call back as soon as he´d found out although he was very busy.

Never mind, arround here we are in bad conditions too, I had to teach to the Lenovo's sales people about the new upgrades ävailable since Oct 17. They didn't know anything... but the worse was this gem: "the top notch machines are for the USA markets because these are more competitive and exigent... the lesser specified machines are for us..."!!!

You can definitely buy from Euclid or also from some booth in EBay. You just have to check here the warranty status of the chosen model number.
If your country is listed, then this is the one ?!?!?!
:)

I already bought machines in the US (actually since 6 years) and the warranty works perfectly in France or in Spain.

The only thing is that you will have to pay VAT and 4% on the imported machine (for Europe).

I just bought one on ebay this one.
I should receive it tomorrow.

It has a 3 year international warranty.

I am also going to buy from Euclid some parts very soon. The only thing is that after that you will have to buy from your local IBM the adequate plugs. And may be the adequate keyboard if you want to.

Last time i bought the current T42 I have... through Bill.

Basically the 2007 series has an international warranty, the 2623 has not (if i am not wrong).

I see. I did not know that. I remember that on this forum another guy cited another reseller that ships outside of the US.

I believe he is still selling a few, but not the quantity that he used to. However, I could be mistaken. Below is a quote from his website. http://www.thinkpads.com/start.htm

GO to the IBM web site, get a price, then
call or e-mail Bill

call 772-781-0039 to order.
