Hi, sorry to bother all but have anyone had any luck with PNY memory? I have the following excerpt from their website saying that this is compatible with a T60 but wondering if anyone has any trouble with them.

PNY Optima 1GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SoDIMM Notebook Memory
Model: N1GX53OPT

Here is the link to the site:

The PNY website actually says this is compatible with IBM t60 so I am just checking in with everyone. Any answer really appreciated.

Thanks!

slightly less expensive, same specs, reliable brand.

I would steer clear of PNY. Haven't had the best experience with their older modules...not sure how they're doing now, though.

I have a stick of Patriot ram in my T60p and it's been working fine with whatever the other stick is that Lenovo shipped since day one.

Kingston is pretty standard. OCZ , Corsair are pretty good too.

I have PNY in my desktop, I believe. Works fine for me. I really want to upgrade my T60, but I already have both slots filled.

Anyone tried K-byte then? IT's even cheaper like 110. Seems quite generic though.

oh by the way, think K-byte is probably an even worse brand than PNY but really want to know whether PNY works since I have it's 100 dollar voucher at bestbuy and want to use it towards a purchase of 5300 DDR2 ram by PNY. Cosair is way too high at 179. Wondering if it will cause BSOD. Just a thought but any help really appreciated
