Any problems concerning disks in T60. Will a Seagate Momentus 5400.3 160Gb work ok?

I have a T60 and I am using a Seagate ST980825AS
with no issues at all.

....the hard drive issue that affected the T43 does not affect the T60 series.

In other words, you can use any brand or model of 2.5" SATA interface HDDs in the T60s.

The Thinkpad does not require an IBM-branded HDD.

End of story.

Just to make sure, the ThinkVantage active protection system will not complain and warn you about using a non-brand disk, ie that the active protection won't work? Since I recall that some modells complained already when booting bios - just as when adding another wifi card to an X40 - it complaints and won't boot (but guess that's another story).

As far as I know the active protecion system is totally external to the disk.

Does Bill still sell the mount kits needed to install a bare disk?
