T60p Ultranav click issue

#1 Post by chead » Wed Nov 01, 2006 6:16 pm

I recently received my T60p and one of the first things I noticed is that the left-click on my Ultranav creates a really loud and very annoying plastic "slap" noise when you touch it, even very lightly. The other two Ultranav buttons do not exhibit this behavior. Has anyone had this problem, and is there any way to fix it, short of getting new buttons?

Same problem on the left click for my X60s. I might just say my keyboard is broken and have them send me a new one.

It's weird because both buttons are easily removable, and if you look at the click mechanism, it's the same rubber dome switch on both of them, and they both attach the same way to the Ultranav frame. I cannot figure out for the life of me why one is clicking and the other isn't.
