No backlight, no indicator lights

Hi,
I have a T60 here that had a cracked screen, I replaced the screen but after I did so there was no back light. There are also no indicator lights. I replaced the FL inverter. No back light, no indicators (the indicators are on the fl inverter). Now, the ribbon cable for the screen supplies the screen, the fl inverter, and blue tooth. Ive looked at the cable and that looks ok. there is no spillage on the system board. Since I get data signal to the screen, I'm thinking the cable is ok. I've also tried a new FL inverter. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Travis

Replacement screen is bad?

I was thinking that, but I don't believe that would affect the indicator lights that are on the FL inverter.

Hi,

I have the exact same problem you have.
I changed the screen, no backlight and indicator lights except wireless internet light.

Although, when I connect the inverter in a half way from the left, screen works.
But then, if I close the lid and open it again, screen doesn't come back.

Put my old screen back in, same symptoms.
Tried new inverter, no luck.
Tried new video cable, no luck either.

Did you find out the solution yet?

Was your replacement screen a properly IBM/Lenovo P/N or FRU marked item, or just one of the so-called "compatible" screens?
If the latter, then there's probably no EDID chip on it, so it won't work!

But the thing is, I get the same symptoms even if I put the old stock screen back in. So I dont think its a problem of the lcd screen.
