When I go to delete backups, It says there is nnot enough disk space to do it. I want to dump the backups as there is only 10g left BECAUSE of the backups. I cannot delete them. HELP!!

I ran into this bug also. And since the RR folder is system protected you can't just delete manually. The only solution I found was to use an external USB drive, copy some big folders to it, delete them from the hard disk to make room (with Shift-Delete so they didn't go into the recycle bin), delete the RR backups, and then copy to big folders back to the hard disk. Not exactly convenient. Since the documentation for RR is not written for normal human beings, one has to find out the hard way. The newer version of RR does have an option to store the backup *only* on an external USB hard drive without *also* keeping a copy on the hard disk, which is a major improvement. Maybe the the older version that shipped on my machine a few weeks ago did have that feature, but it was nowhere in sight.

Use the single instance storage and exclude options in RnR to shrink the backups.

For example, I exclude anything in C:\DRIVERS, since I can always get those files again from the internet.

And for any local mail file, I use single instance storage, since I only need the latest copy.

Shrinks backups a lot, if you tweak your system with those options.
