Sign me up as part of the club because I just ordered my T60 today and my ship date is 12/20 . I dont understand the math. If it takes 10 business days at the most to build(thats what my rep says) then why does my shipping quote tell me it will ship in 20. Im so confused. Heres hoping i get it before christmas. Got mine for $1182 which includes tax. Hope thats a good deal. Cheers.
Also quick question. How much of your hardrive is used up on a brand new model. (When i first boot it up). Im hoping my 80G will be enough since i dont really store photos, music or movies.

Yea I configured my computer on the phone with at least 12 different represenatives. What I figured out is that the ones most knowledgable with the system can get you the best price. I was quoted 1600 fore a core 2 duo 5500 one day and 1180 the very next day for a core 2 duo 7200. I found the perfect guy and hes helped me tons. I have no problem recommending him to you guys if ya want.

yours comes with 3 year on-site warranty? or deposit.?
Dang, u should post earlier....
I have talked to 3 different rep.
all of them: unpatient.
All of them assume u just need a quote.
one of them is stupid: He asked me what series do I want , I said T60. then, "Please tell me the macine type, otherwise I can't help you." . me think" Dang, there are hundreds of configeration, how can I memory them all."
Eventually, I ordered one.

Yep 90% were not the nicest and they pretty much configured me a T60 right from website. I didnt see any of the education discount that I was promised. It took one guy who knew what he was doing to help me out. Im not saying he was the nicest man in the world, but he was informed and treated me very respectfully.

What's up here???
In germany I have to pay for a T60 with coz007s specs the DOUBLED price at the cheapiest dealer.
Ordering right from Lenovo, would mean to add another 500 dollars.
I don't like your politics but your prices for sure

wow, should i really be this worried about calling to order my lenovo thinkpad? i'm already unsure about ordering online because apparently they dont have all the models and choices on their website, and it looks like they dont on their tabook these days either.
and, they really take a month? that sort of thing makes me want to just go in an apple store and walk out half hour later with a macbook pro.
wtf lenovo?
