How is the flexview, seriously, with watching DVD, or playing a moderate game? if any fps ability, can you test it?

its either a 14 or 15 for me, this is now what is holding me back , ther performance of the 15.. :)
im going to get to be known as the "Man Who Never Bought".

flewview is awesome, u should go for it.
just compare other laptops' LCD. hardly see the screen when u are on 170 degree.

hmm, I wish 14" has flexview. coz 15" screen is too big for me.

i too wish they had 14inch flexview. i would buy a couple, and probably equip my entire company with them.

but with that said, i was worried about going 14, thought it would be too small, but im making a huge jump already from a widescreen 17inch 20lb laptop to this thinkpad. ibm did good when they put core 2 duo into 15inch flexscreen and made it available. im glad i waitied to buy , a week earlier i would have bought something i wish i didnt.

what im wondering is, is this ghosting stuff really noticeable.
moderate gaming and video watching is what im doing. some say its terrible, some say its not noticeable, and go for the flex.

i think im gonna go for the flex.
i hate being indecisive.

Hmm, I'm honestly not sure. On my IPS-equipped T60, I have noticed significant levels of ghosting on some videos, but I think I've stopped noticing it now, or something. In any case, I value the IPS screen's qualities enough that I'm willing to put up with it.

I wish Michigan had Fry's business. then i could walk in and look at the comparisons. i do not think there is a business in town (metro detroit) that has ibms on the shelf. certainly ont t60s and p's ..

best buy, compusa, microcenter, circuit city doesn't have them.
are there any special IBM exclusive stores, like gateway used to do.

I say go with the flex for sure if you can afford it.

Crytharis, did you by any chance only notice it before when on battery? And sometime before you stopped noticing it did you do a driver update? There was a fix about that in the last vid card driver update.

I can't see any ghosting or blurring on my S-IPS external monitor (Dell 2001FP). Admittedly I don't watch a lot of movies or video but ...

i too will be, cause you know what, these [censored] thinkpads, as great as they are, still have so many things that might cause them to lose a sale to me. i probably wont make the purchase until i'm absolutetly sick of all the [censored] research. and you know what, if i need it last minute, it'll be a macbook pro from the 24/7 midtown apple store.

the new Core 2 Duo 15" Flexview T60p is also what i was considering though
