Warranty options

I was trying to configurate a new T60p on Lenovo's webite. I found that for the warranty options, there is one called "3 years Thinkpad protection with 1 year depot to 3 year depot". If I choose this, does that mean that my warraty is also upgraded from 1 year depot to 3 year depot and don't have to pay the other warranty service upgrade fee? Since there is nowhere I can check the infomation about this, I came here for the answer. Thanks for your patience, and have a nice Thanksgiving.
