Hi all,

why do I get a 'safely remove hardware' icon for the dvd drive ?
this seems to appear at bootup regardless if I have a disc in the drive or not.

Having a disc in the drive or not shouldn't make any difference. I believe that you are seeing the remove hardware wizard because it is a removable Ultrabay device.
