battery runtime wrt display, cpu, and hd

how does battery (9-cell ideally) runtime vary depending on:

- a 14" vs 15" display (and does resolution have a significant impact?)
- a 5400 vs 7200 rpm hard drive (does capacity impact runtime?)
- cpu speed

to a large extent these are generic questions, although i would love to know the actual t60 runtime diffs.

and finally, how does the t60 series compare to the t40 series in the runtime department?

thanks,
david

I can answer the hard drive part: assuming Hitachi drives, the 7K100 7200 rpm drive consumes about 0.5W more than the 5400 rpm drives. The resulting reduction in battery life is somewhere between 3% and 5%.
