Warranty question (international)

When I try to configure a laptop through the student site (EPP) at

http://www.lenovo.com/shop/deals/usstudents

If I use the TABOOK.pdf then the 2007 (number) models have the 3 year internation warranty. The only problem is the cheapest T60P I can find there with a Core 2 Duo comes out to xxxxx$.

Now if I configure my own (same link as above but customize it myself by going through products -> Thinkpad notebooks -> Let me build it, then I get a very nice price (around +xxxxx$) BUT I get the 2613HP number and only 1 year warranty and only in 4 countries. None of which are Denmark (where I'll be living).

So my question is this. Is it possible to get the 3 year internation warranty on the 2613HP model? and if yes, how much is it?

You can check the (IWS) warranty here:

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... arranty.vm

2700

and

2613

Thank you for any help!

Moderator edit: Removed EPP pricing figures as per forum rules.

Thanks for the edit.

Anyone who can help me out? There really is a big difference in price so hopefully someone can answer if it's possible to get the IWS warranty on the 2613HPU

C'mon someone must know the answer! It can't be true that you can't relocate to another country and bring your warranty with you!

I think it can ... if you want a really low-priced model, you may need to accept the warranty limitation.
