Misc. updates don't work - or are not registered

I did a couple of driver updates on my T60p using the Lenovo Software Installer, but certain features, like "ThinkVantage System Update", "ThinkVantage Fingerprint Software" and "MS Windows XP SP2 High Definition Audio Driver Package KB 888111" always indicate "Not installed" even though the previous installation went fine.

I went through that cycle already 3 times, i.e. downloaded and installed the stuff, got a "successfully installed", rebooted, fired up SW Installer again and the mentioned package are again listed as "Not Installed".

Do others observe this as well?
