Resolution Problem w/ Office 2007

#1 Post by TeeSixty » Sun Dec 10, 2006 12:28 pm

Dear All,

I've installed Office 2007 Ent. on my thinkpad and its quite obvious that there is a resolution glitch. Its very visible when you use Outlook 2007 ..the icons on the left pane look like am running on safe mode (Thats only the left pane!). Otherwise everything else is fine.

A temporary workaround was to switch to the external monitor and then back to the LCD. The resolution is back but disappears after a while. The other workaroun was to use VMWare on my machine hence utilizing VMware's display driver.

Is there a permanent fix to this problem? Here's my gfx related info.

Res. 1400x1050 - 32bit
Adapter: ATI Radeon 1400 128mb
Dirextx 9 installed

Are you using the final retail version of Office 2007, or the latest beta.

I'll get O2007 for Xmas, so I can't be more helpful

Hi there..

I am using the Office 2007 enterprise version... Good luck installing it ! Let us know if you experience a similar problem. Btw just tested it on a HP laptop and its exactly the same thing. I wonder if its an ATI issue !

Rgds..

no problems installing or running ... like it much better over 2003. But cannot use UltraNav to scroll ... is anyone else having this problem, know of a solution, or is it only my install.

thanks
Steve

The only complaint with Office 2007 (esp. Word) is the fact that is not possible to scroll up/down a document using the middle button or the ultranav right slide :?

lenovo should update the trackpoint/ultranav to make it work with O07
