Microsoft Intellimouse Drivers -- Safe?

Is there anyone who is using a Microsoft Mouse with Intellimouse
drivers on their T60.

I have a lot of bad experience with these drivers on other machines
(basically, on my old Dells, once Intellimouse drivers were installed -- the touchpad drivers never worked correctly again, no matter what I tried), so I am afraid to download install them onto T60p and use whatever XP has preinstalled (which does not allow the extended button functionality)

Has anyone tested these and had good luck?

Thanks GomJabbar. This is what I was afraid of. What a pain in the
a**.

I am wondering if there any other mice out there with extended functionality whose drivers don't mess up UltraNav.

Any experince with Logitech drivers?
Any specific recommendations for wireless mice whose drivers don't interfere with UltraNav are welcome!

Davidspalding outlined a method whereby he managed to install both his Microsoft mouse drivers and retained the UltraNav driver functionality. He did so by installing the UltraNav driver after the MS Mouse drivers...You can search the forum for his thread. :)
