I believe this laptop came with bluetooth built in, because I see it in the device manager and also in My Computer. But there's no option for me to add new bluetooth devices.

When I go to bluetooth configuration page in control panel, and clicked on "let other bluetooth devices discover this computer," an error message came up saying:

Bluetooth license check failed. Please make sure that bluetooth device is pluged in/turned on, the device you're using is licensed for this software and that you license has not expired.



what's going on?

When you press Function F5 do you get an option to turn Bluetooth on and off? Have you ever had a Bluetooth dongle installed on your computer?

it was that simple! It was off the whole time, no wonder...lol.... thanks for your help.
