soft (and bigger) keyboard for t60

My new T60 1953DAU keyboard (FRU 39T0958 ) is stiff and pains
my fingers (am recovering from repeatitive strain injury). Would
FRU 39T7118 or 39T7178 (the other compatible keyboards listed at
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-62728 ) be softer ,
or any input on this would help ?

I also thought 15inch T60 keyboard would be bigger than
14inch T60, but it seems same size and spacing between
keys. Its unfortunate IBM/Lenovo not using extra real-state
available on the bigger 15inch laptop.

I know I can use other keyboards externally connected via USB
but it would help to get any input on a softer (compatible)
or bigger keyboard that can replace the current keyboard
in my T60 ?

Thanks

Isn't that the part # for the NMB keyboard? It is supposed to be better than the other two ones AFAIK ... since you are recovering from injury, I think it'd be a good idea to use a soft touch logitech keyboard . Just my $0.02.

if it is the NMB, then what you have is not a standard keyboard, but a highly sought-after item. A lot of people on this forum have been trying to get one for a really long time.

If you end up getting a different keyboard, you should put the NMB keyboard up for sale in the thinkpad marketplace forum. You could probably get a good amount for it.

NOT every NMB is the same. The NMB on my X60S is very noisy and stiff. I used to own an X41 with NMB. It is stiff and noisy as well. so I guess it really depends on what factory it comes from.
