Need help regarding T60p 2613HPU

Hi!
I ordered this machine and on the website it says that it will come with ATI FireGL V5250 and after calling to verify this with Lenovo they clain that the 14.1" screen systems do not coem with the 5250 video card, just only with 5200. Does anyone encountered this before? why can't they put the newer version of this video card on the 2613HPU?
and finally what is the difference between the 5200 and 5250?
Thanks,
Tzahi.

I have the same model/type and mine is a 5250 so I expect yours will be also. I received my t60p 11/16/06.
Check their website....

Thanks.
I also contacted Lenovo and got again the same answer I already wrote in the first post. In addition, I searched their website:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... yle=lenovo
and it says 5200 I hope to get the 5250.

If they send you the wrong thinkpad model, refuse to accept the thinkpad and make sure the shipping fees is covered by Lenovo and make sure you get what you want from them. Just highlight the 5250 and 5200 numbers in bold in your email or call them up and ask them is it a typo error or ???

I was confussed also. But when my 2613-HPU came, it is 5250. 5250 is based on X1700 and 5200 is based on X1600. It can reach 3800+ in 3dMark 2005 using the default driver. But I have problem using the latest omega driver

Hm, other people are having issues with Omegas on the V5250? I had a rough time getting either the Lenovo provided driver OR the Omegas to install to a clean windows reinstall (eventually did get the Lenovo ones on), but I figured it was just a configuration peculiarity on my system, or the usual ATI driver shenanigans.
To agree with the other claim(s), I ran 3dmark05 a couple times on here (T60p in sig) and was scoring in the 3880s consistently, and it is my understanding from rooting around the website when I ordered that all new T60p systems are shipping with a V5250.
Typo or just they just don't know...

Hey Grants,
hope that I will get the same thing, I called them for 3 times and all the time the representative said "the sales rep claim that there is no 5250 for 14.1" hope that the fellas in China know more than the reps in the US.....did u c that link I posted? did u get this weird confirmation email from them saying 5200 even though on the order website it says 5250?
Thanks TzahiCK

I ordered my 14.1" with a 5200 and it showed up having a 5250 in it
(ordered the day before the 5250 was offered and my parts list showed a 5200)
When I called to get an update on the shipping status the rep told me it had a 5250 instead of a 5200 but I didn't believe him

Hi TzahiCK,
I saw that on the support page. I guess they haven't upgraded the information online while they changed the real specifications. Don't worry. You get the same 2613-hpu with me. So it should come with 5250. BTW, the shipping is really fast. I ordered Dec. 12. and it's shipped on Dec. 16(Saturday) and received Dec. 19.
