Trackpoint center button

It functions for scrolling web pages, not for other applications (when using a mouse with scroll wheel, I do have scrolling in other applications).
However, I evidently don't know how to get the Trackpoint center button to activate a magnifying/demagnifying functionality.
Even if I could, how is it that the button knows whether you want to scroll or magnify? TIA for help, guidance.

Go to Ultanav settings from Start-->thinkvantage and you will see an option in the trackpoint tab for setting this property.

Within the UltraNav wizard, there are three scroll settings for it; one of them emulates a scroll wheel and the other emulates a standard MMB while the default is the TrackPoint scroll. You can use the emulation or the bare MMB function to scroll in just about every appplication in Windows. It also matter what version of what browser you use, as well. See which one of those three settings works best for you.
There should also be the option to use it as a Magnifying Glass in the UltraNav Wizard as well.
