Generic Svc host error

I have been getting another error during reboot recently not related to my "waking" thread below (I am not sure what this board etiquette is so I thought I would create a new thread for this different issue, but apologize if I should have combined threads)

Basically, whenever i reboot, I get a generic svc host error. I close the error message about 6 times and it goes away.

The technical error report is:
EventType : BEX P1 : svchost.exe P2 : 5.1.2600.2180 P3 : 41107ed6
P4 : unknown P5 : 0.0.0.0 P6 : 00000000 P7 : 009d06d1
P8 : c0000005 P9 : 00000008

I called IBM support and they said that these problems during boot up could be a virus or something. I ran Sophos and Mcafee AV and nothing comes up. I ran SpySweeper, Spy Bot S&D and Ad-Aware and nothing comes up. Any ideas on how to trouble shoot this one?

Despite installing the Hotfix about once a week I still get this $#^%%&$#$#^% error on a regular basis on my T42p (XP/SP2) and its driving me to distraction.

It goes away and then all of a sudden its back. I reboot and reinstall the $#%$#^%@ hotfix, reboot and everything is fine for a week or so and then it comes back.
