Uj-842 DL media burning:firmware update?

Hi!
First post in US Thinkpad-forum. My problem is, that i never have succes in burning double layered DVD. Maybe a firmware update may resolve this problem.For Sony Laptops there is a firmware update available that should resolve problems with DL-media, but it wont install on my T60.

Maybe there is a way to mod this program to flash a TP-Burner or an update directly from Lenovo that i am not able to find.
