Hello all
My Thinkpad T60 will arrive tomorrow. I need to reformat th HDD so that there will be 4 partitions.
The hidden recovery, the OS Windows partition, a program partition, & a Data partition.
T60 restore & recovery process will only affect the OS partition, and not to reformat the HDD to the default factory image?
T60 restore & recovery
There is an option to choose if you want to format only c:\ or the entire HD.
The steps i would recommend is:
1) Boot up thinkpad and create rescue CD's
2) Create partitions using your software
3) Press the thinkvantage button to reformat upon bootup
4) Choose the custom option and unselect all the junk
5) When everything is in windows, uninstall client security
6) Optimize desktop
