I have a task listed in my scheduled tasks called PMTask, which appears to be associated with power management. It is scheduled to run when idle, but shows as disabled. How do I enable it?

Double-click on PMtask in Scheduled Tasks, then check the box at lower left: Enabled.

Yes--it controls your Power Manager settings (i.e., it dims or blanks your screen, shuts down your HDD, suspends and hibernates your machine).

Old topic, I know, but should PMTask be enabled or disabled? Mine says disabled, but my system still goes into standby and hibernation most of the time. Should I enable it?
Tony
Edit: This is on my R61 running xp, but I suppose the answer will be the same ...

Ah, sorry, never mind. I found the answer. It's status changes by itself when I change the power scheme.
