Hi,
I have a problem with Thinkpad T60 (2007-FUG), I finalize the preconfigured installation (reboot several times)
and install the Zenworks Agent 6.5 SP2, reboot again and I get an "error loading operating system. I put the SATa drive to "compatible", but nothing changed.
Can somebody help me?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Did you ever get a fix for this problem. We just got a shipment of 10 - T60's and R60's and we get the same error after we load Zen 6.5 sp2.

To fix this problem you have to start the utility Thinkpad update and update the network card, and bios.

Here is what I would try. Go into the BIOS setup menu and Disable security for the Predesktop Area (you will lose the ability to Restore Factory Contents from the hard drive). Boot from a Windows XP install CD or something similar and delete all existing partitions on the hard drive. I am unfamilair with Zen 6.5 sp2, but I assume it has both a partitioning program and a formatting program. Use these from Zen 6.5 sp2 to create and format a new partition, then load the OS.

Well,
I can now get my OS to boot after I:
boot to a Windows XP cd and select repair and
run FIXBOOT and then FIXMBR
XP then boots but after I login and Zen does a inventory scan and I restart I loose the boot sector again.
I have not tried deleting the restore partition yet, But I did disable it like you said.
This is driving me crazy. What has changed at Lenovo that is causing this?
