I just got my T60P recently... I have the dual monitor capability working with an external monitor plugged into the rear VGA port of the docking station with the other display being the LCD... I was wondering if there is anyway of getting two external monitors working - one plugged into the rear VGA and the other into the left side VGA... It seems whatever I plug into the left side VGA port is never recognized... Not supported?

Do you have the Advanced Dock, or the Advanced Mini-Dock?

You can't have both of the VGA connectors going at the same time. At least, I know of no way to do this. But you CAN have the the VGA and DVI going at the same time. When you do this, the internal (built-in) display will be dark.

Use the Catalyst Control Center to configure and use the DVI and VGA at the same time. The monitor plugged onto the DVI port must be a digital monitor. You cannot use a DVI-to-VGA adapter on the DVI port because it is DVI-D, which means there are no analog signals on the DVI connector.

Or there's always the Matrox Dualhead2go

As the maximum resolution and the frequenzy of the Matrox dual head to go are limited (use of two CRT-Screens with 1600x1200 @ 85 Hz will not be possible), I decided to use a Matrox dual head PCIe card in the Advanced Dock.

Works fine, but the additional fan for the PCIe compartement of the Advanced Dock and the fan of the Matrox are producing a lot of noise :( (much more than a cheap desktop pc with a no name fan)...

hate to butt in like this, but, does the advanced dock have its' own video card?

The Advanced Dock has an open slot that takes an add-on video card. It's physically PCI-Express x16 but electrically x1.
