Manual control FAN speed on T60P?

#1 Post by SH1986 » Sat Jan 06, 2007 12:35 pm

Hi

I just bought a IBM T60P.. Nice laptop, the only thing i miss is that i can control the FAN speed manual. Is there any kind of program to do this? The reason to this is, that my t60p freez after 10 min. gaming because of the heat.. And maybe the heat prob. capuld be better if i could raise the speed on the FAN..

Thx

Try TPFanControl, you should modify the .ini file setting to let the software modify fan speeds:

Code: Select all

Active=1
Using the program in Smart Mode (Active=2) will let you use user-defined fan levels when a determined temperature is reached:

(Here's mine)
Level=49 0
Level=51 1
Level=52 2
Level=56 3
Level=59 128 (128 switches back to BIOS controlled fan speeds)

Good luck
