What is the least intrusive and powerful desktop search tool on Windows? Has to be something close to the performance of Spolight on Mac. Cannot reveal data to the net.
I ask this question here instead of the OS forum, because fellow T60 owners may already have it setup.

Google Desktop? I've found it excellent on my a31p.

I tried windows Desktop Search but found it very unuseful. I cound't force indexing and the standard folder Search (F3) was replaced with it. I had it over a week and if failed indexing so I weren't able to search any folder right. So if you need one I'd go for Google Desktop as well.

Google presents its search results as hyperlinks while others present the results in standard Windows fashion. With Google all you can do with the results is find things and open them. With others you can right click and all the usual right click context sensitive options are available. Cupernic is very good but I didn't like the fact that it always locked my Outlook PST. I used to run with Windows Desktop Search - by far my favorite - which happens to be integrated into all of my Vista machines now
