Does your Thinkpad T60 make a clicking noise if you press the top edge over your hard disc drive? (between the ibm logo and the fingerprint reader)

I rest my hand there while working, but I certainly would not press on it. There is an instruction on the drive itself that says "Don't shock / push cover" ... JD Hurst

Do not press on that area. I have used to vent up a fustration on my R52 previously and i wacked the thinkpad at that area for 6 times and in the end, i am left with a broken harddisk.

I apologize for laughing so hard, but WHY? would you whack a delicate instrument? Thinkpads will take some punishment. My T41 has fallen off a table while open and running with no issues. That was an accident, and I was fortunate, but they are still delicate.

@jdhurst,
I am a hot headed person at the moment and the internet is crawling at snail\'s pace, and that\'s a broadband premier service which means it should be running fast. I just can\'t tolerate the constant hangings and non responsive clicks so i lost my cool and start abusing my thinkpad.
Now, come to think of it, i find myself stupid + impatient.
I have also found out that the above mentioned problem does not lie on my thinkpad; should be the router and the server.
