I upgraded to 2.11 and have had no problems (yet). And I am running Vista Business and XPpro.

I don't know why but after I downloaded BIOS 2.11 my fan control kicked up a notch running at 3400 instead of its usual 2800... Does anyone know how to erase 2.11 and revert the system back to the 2.09 bios that I had before? I'm not a comp whiz so instructions would be nice ^^. Thanks...

Trouble-free upgrade here to the 2007 series machine running Vista Business.

I was fiddling around with the power settings by switching the fan control back to balance parameters and then back to maximum performance... that seemed to revert the fan control back to 2800~ down from that noisy constant 3400... Hopefully it stays that way...

No need to erase, just reinstall the old one. Erasing a BIOS would be really bad, luckily, its not one of those things you can accidentally do. The installer may mention that you are using an older version, but it doesnt matter either way, it will let you do it.

I was sitting at my PC yesterday, typing while on a conf call, when the frackin PC just turned itself off. Right there in front of me.

Sooo, I downloaded and installed the new BIOS (2.11). I figured, how bad could it get. :(

This morning, I find the PC in stand-by mode.

Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

"2.16 is the current BIOS version." Wrong. My bad. I was looking at Z series downloads.

My bad.

The current BIOS for the Z series is 2.16. Sorry for the bad information.
