external monitor settings

#1 Post by feri00 » Mon Jan 22, 2007 5:14 am

I'm using t60 with advanced mini dock and an external samsung 193P monitor. When I try to install the magic tune software it says it's not compatible with this machine. The 193P has no hardware controls whatsoever. It's controlled only with the magictune software, which I'm unable to make work. Is there any other way how to change monitor settings like brightness contrast etc. than via the magic tune software?

What model of T60 do you have (what graphics chip)?

What version of MagicTune are you running?

The problem probably isn't the dock. It's probably due to an incompatibility between the MagicTune software and the graphics chip. A new version of MagicTune may help.

You may be out of luck. You might try booting into safe mode, which uses the VGA drivers, and see if the software works that way.
