Security Chip

#1 Post by edwin108 » Mon Jan 22, 2007 10:37 pm

Hello,

The security chip in my ThinkPad T60 cannot be disabled. When I go into the BIOS setup utility, it says that I am logged in as "user" not "supervisor". When I try to deactivate the security chip through Client Security Solution in Windows, it tells me that my password is incorrect. What can I do to deactivate the security chip?

Thanks in advance,

Edwin Suarez

You need to enter the Supervisor Password when getting into BIOS rather than the User Password.

If you don't know or don't remember or have never set the Supervisor Password see item 12 in the FAQ.
